Japanese dragons were unique in the sense that they served as water gods that ruled the oceans, fought with other gods, shapeshifted into humans, or vice versa. They were also believed to signify wisdom, success, and strength.

Made from 3” steel nails, this Japanese dragon stands at about 28” and holds your attention with its jasper eyes.

Like a puzzle, I made it a point to not make any cuts in the nails, making each piece planned and purposeful. An additive approach rather than an add/subtract.
